The Ongoing Crisis in Gaza

The people of Gaza have endured more than 500 days of unimaginable hardship, marked by continuous violence and displacement. Since October 2023, approximately 1.9 million people - overwhelming 90% of the population have been forced to flee their homes, many of them multiple times, as even designated “safe zones” have come under threat.

The scale of devastation is staggering. Over 51,000 lives have been lost, with more than 117,000 injured, and many still missing beneath the rubble. The actual figures are feared to be much higher.

While northern Gaza remains the most severely affected, critical shortages of food, medicine, fuel, and shelter are being reported across the entire region. The humanitarian needs are overwhelming.

A Worsening Hunger Crisis

According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), nearly the entire population of Gaza is facing severe food insecurity. Although a brief window of relief occurred in March and April 2024, with limited aid entering and food supplies increasing temporarily, the situation has rapidly deteriorated again - bringing deadly consequences.

Recent reports from UN independent experts now confirm that famine is spreading—no longer confined to the north, but also impacting central and southern Gaza. Mass displacement continues, with tens of thousands fleeing under new evacuation orders in Gaza City and Khan Younis as of July 2024.

Our Response on the Ground

Tiseer Welfare Trust is actively working to scale up our emergency response in Gaza. Collaborating with local partners, we are delivering lifesaving aid across all five governorates - North Gaza, Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah.

Our support includes the distribution of hot meals, food parcels, medical aid, and other essential supplies to the most vulnerable families.

We have been providing aid in Palestine for over a decade, and our commitment remains unwavering. As the humanitarian crisis worsens, we are urging our supporters to stand with the people of Gaza and help us deliver urgent relief where it’s needed most.
