Myanmar Earthquake Emergency
A devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake has struck Myanmar, leaving a trail of destruction across vast regions of the country.
A Crisis on Top of a Crisis
More than 3,500 lives have been lost, with many still unaccounted for. Thousands of survivors are now without safe shelter, clean water, food, or medical care - essentials they desperately need to survive.
The earthquake has obliterated critical infrastructure, destroying homes, roads, hospitals, schools, and water systems. Power and communication lines are down, leaving many communities completely cut off from emergency services and outside support.
Even before the earthquake, Myanmar was already in the grip of a major humanitarian emergency, with over a third of the population - more than 19 million people relying on aid. One in four people faced food insecurity. This disaster has only pushed an already dire situation into full-blown catastrophe.
Tiseer Welfare Trust’s Response
Tiseer Welfare Trust is actively working with trusted partners on the ground to deliver emergency relief to the hardest-hit areas. In coordination with UK-based agencies and long-standing local collaborators, we are assessing urgent needs and mobilising resources for immediate support.
Our initial response is focused on providing emergency shelter, cash assistance, and access to food, clean water, and medical supplies—but the scale of this disaster demands much more.
Help Us Reach More People
With search and rescue operations ongoing and the government declaring a state of emergency, international support is urgently needed. Survivors are in critical need, and funding shortfalls are already affecting humanitarian efforts across the region.
Now, more than ever, the people of Myanmar need our help.
Please donate today to help us deliver life-saving aid.
