Where Your Support Goes

Tiseer Welfare Trust operates in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions, delivering aid with dignity, compassion, and accountability. Our mission is to reach those living in crisis - war zones, famine-struck areas, and communities devastated by poverty or disaster. We tailor our response to the unique needs of each country, ensuring your support brings real, measurable change.

Zakat

Zakat (also spelled zakaat or zakah) is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, making it a fundamental obligation upon every Muslim. It refers to the mandatory charity that must be paid by every sane, adult Muslim who possesses wealth exceeding a certain threshold - known as the Nisab. The amount due is 2.5% of that wealth and must be given once every lunar year.

Once a full Islamic year has passed while owning wealth above the Nisab, the Zakat becomes due and must be distributed to those eligible to receive it.

Orphans & Children – Protecting the Most Vulnerable

Children are the first to suffer in war, displacement, and poverty - and often the last to recover. We provide orphan sponsorship, education, healthcare, emotional support, and access to safe housing.

Fact: More than 153 million children globally are orphans. Millions more live without stable parental care due to conflict, disease, or natural disasters (UNICEF).

Qurbani – Sharing the Blessings of Eid

Through our annual Qurbani programme, we distribute fresh meat to impoverished families during Eid al-Adha - many of whom go months without protein. We deliver Qurbani in conflict zones and low-income communities, ensuring Islamic obligations are fulfilled and families are nourished.

Fact: In areas like Yemen and Gaza, meat is a luxury. A Qurbani share can feed a family for up to a week.

General Sadaqah – Sustaining Lives, Seeking Blessings

Sadaqah empowers us to respond to daily needs - whether that’s delivering clean water, funding mobile clinics, building shelters, or responding to emergencies. Given for any reason at any time, your sadaqah allows us to support communities with flexibility and speed.

Hadith: “Sadaqah extinguishes sins as water extinguishes fire.” - Tirmidhi

Gaza – Under Siege, Under Fire

Years of blockade, conflict, and infrastructure collapse have left Gaza’s 2.3 million residents in dire need. Hospitals lack equipment, homes are in rubble, and families struggle to find clean water and food.

Tiseer Welfare Trust provides emergency food, hygiene kits, winter blankets, baby milk, and medical aid inside Gaza - through local trusted networks.

Fact: Over 80% of people in Gaza rely on humanitarian assistance to survive. Only a few hours of electricity are available daily. Clean water is a luxury for most families (OCHA, 2024).

Yemen – Starvation and Siege

Years of war have destroyed Yemen’s economy and healthcare system, leaving millions on the brink of famine. We distribute food, clean water, medicine, and baby formula to the most vulnerable - especially children, mothers, and the elderly.

Fact: Nearly 80% of Yemen’s population (over 24 million people) need humanitarian aid. 2.2 million children are acutely malnourished (UNICEF, 2024).

Where Needed Most – Swift, Flexible, Life-Saving Aid

This fund allows us to respond wherever the need is greatest - fast and effectively. Whether it’s a sudden flood, earthquake, or underfunded crisis, this support gives us the agility to act without delay.

Why it matters: Undesignated funds mean we can fill critical gaps where other donations are restricted - often saving lives during the first hours of an emergency.
